1. Introduction

MyBase ("we", "our", or "us") is a digital platform operated under Algerian law that enables entrepreneurs to form and manage companies fully online. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data when you use our website and services. By using MyBase, you agree to the practices described herein.

2. Data We Collect

We collect data that is necessary to provide our company formation and compliance services:

  • Identity data: Full name, national ID number (CNI/passport), date and place of birth, nationality.
  • Contact data: Email address, phone number, and residential address.
  • KYC documents: Scanned copies of official identity documents, proof of address, and other documents required by Algerian law for company registration.
  • Company data: Proposed company name, legal structure, registered address, share capital, and activity codes (NAE/APE).
  • Payment data: Billing name, payment method, and transaction records. We do not store full card numbers — payments are processed by PCI-DSS certified providers.
  • Usage data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and actions taken within the platform for security and service improvement purposes.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

  • Process and submit your company formation dossier to the CNRC, DGI, CNAS, CASNOS, and other relevant Algerian authorities.
  • Verify your identity and comply with Algerian anti-money laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations.
  • Communicate updates about your formation status, compliance deadlines, and government responses.
  • Securely store formation documents in your Document Vault for future retrieval.
  • Send compliance reminders, renewal alerts, and regulatory notifications.
  • Improve our platform through anonymised analytics and usage patterns.
  • Respond to legal requests from Algerian judicial or regulatory authorities.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Our processing of personal data is based on: (a) the performance of the contract you enter with us when using MyBase; (b) compliance with legal obligations under Algerian law, including Ordinance No. 15-02 on personal data protection; and (c) our legitimate interest in operating a secure and compliant platform.

5. Data Sharing

We share your data only where necessary:

  • Algerian government agencies (CNRC, DGI, CNAS, CASNOS, Notary offices) as required for company formation.
  • Licensed notaries and legal professionals acting on your behalf under procuration.
  • Payment processors operating under PCI-DSS compliance.
  • Cloud infrastructure providers under data processing agreements that comply with Algerian data sovereignty requirements.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal and company data for as long as your account is active and for a minimum of 10 years after company dissolution or account closure, in accordance with Algerian commercial and tax record-keeping obligations. KYC documents are retained for a minimum of 5 years as required by AML regulations.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, multi-factor authentication (MFA) for all accounts, role-based access controls, and regular security audits. Despite these measures, no digital system is entirely risk-free. Please notify us immediately at security@mybase.dz if you suspect any unauthorised access.

8. Your Rights

Under Algerian Ordinance No. 15-02 and applicable regulations, you have the right to:

  • Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention obligations.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing activities.
  • Lodge a complaint with the Algerian National Authority for the Protection of Personal Data (ANPDP).

9. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for session management and authentication. We use analytics cookies (anonymised) to understand platform usage and improve the experience. You may disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings; however, doing so may affect platform functionality.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be notified via email or a prominent notice on the platform at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of MyBase after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
